Pig Iron Fest

The Pig Iron Fest remembers and celebrates the once thriving anthracite iron industry. The iron foundries played a vital role in establishing the riverfront region in and around Columbia and Marietta, and the Annual Pig Iron Fest and Car Show on the last Saturday, September 24 serves as a celebration of the region's industrial heyday.

There is a focus on the historic aspects of the iron foundries and the role they played in building the region, but there are also opportunities to have fun with a great car show, family-oriented events, food, and live music. Food vendors offer a wide variety of food and beverages.

Children can enjoy activities such as hayrides, pumpkin painting, games, and crafts in the Kids' Zone.  The event is sponsored by the Donegal Area Rotary Club. Rivertownes PA USA is proud to participate in celebrating the great regional history. The Musselman-Vesta will be open on that day for tours.
